Description
The York S1-031-01975-000 Defrost Control Board is a rather narrow part that is used to govern the process of defrosting HVAC equipment in order to provide their efficacious operation. This control board functions at voltage level of 24V AC and is largely essentialin eliminating ice formation on the evaporator coils which in turn affects operation efficiency as well as effectiveness. Defrost control board operates based on the temperature of evaporator coils and sets defrost cycle if required. It signals others parts of the defrost heater, to melt ice or frost that may have formed and hindered fluid flow and heat transfer.
