Description
This Trane CNT6080 is a Defrost Control Board it is responsible for maintaining proper defrost cycles in Trane HVAC equipment with a focus on heat pumps. One of the main duties of this circuit board is to prevent excessive ice formation on the evaporator coils; this circuit board is approximately 8.9 inches long, 4.59 inches wide, and 2.6 inches high. It is to accomplish this goal it controls the defrost cycle, which begins when frost levels reach a certain point and does not run until the ice has melted. The defrost Control Board is easy to access during servicing.
