Description
The Supco IG412 Furnace Ignitor is an ignition component to start combustion in gas fired heating equipment. It is a silicon carbide flat igniter that produces high heat when electrical current passes through it, allowing gas burners to ignite during system start-up. In HVAC systems, it is installed in furnaces, boilers, water heaters, unit heaters, and similar heating units where controlled ignition is required. It operates on a 120 VAC supply and is designed to reach ignition temperature quickly for burners in compatible residential applications during normal operating cycles.
