Description
The Johnson Controls V-4710-603 Diaphragm offers low friction control over the flow of air or water while in use. This diaphragm uses a strong rubber or synthetic elastomer diaphragm to provide the resilience and elasticity of the base material. When compressed air reaches the actuator chamber, the diaphragm is pushed to a larger surface area. This increases the force that wants to make the actuator arm move to open or close valves in the HVAC system. This design allows for installation directly instead of the existing diaphragms for Johnson Controls 5R actuators when these have become worn out. Thus the V-4710-603 diaphragm prevents conversion of air pressure into mechanical movement being compromised in efficiency and effectiveness in controlling the airflow or water flow within the HVAC system.
