The Carrier 48TJ400118 Heat Exchanger is an essential part of several HVAC equipment such as furnaces and air handlers. It is used to transport heat from one fluid to another at different temperatures but without interchanging the two fluids. In a heating system the hot combustion gases from the furnace heat up one coil of the heat exchanger while the cool air from the building passes through the other coil.
