Description
The Carrier EK55JC051 Fusible Tee is a safety product that is installed in different Carrier HVAC systems. It is a T-shape fitting with threaded terminations for connection to refrigerant lines readily. In normal operation, it permits refrigerant to circulate through all three ports of the system. However, if the temperature rises beyond a certain level, a thermal fuse incorporated into the system melts and prevents the flow through one of the ports to prevent the system from being damaged. Although it is a small device, its primary purpose is essential for integration into a system.
