Description
The Rheem-Ruud 61-102258-04 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is essential parts in air conditioning units and refrigeration. Using an 18” long element capillary tube, the TXV (thermal expansion valve) measures system temperature and pressure, while a 12” long equalizer tube acts as a reference. To keep ideal conditions at the evaporator coils it also regulates the flow of refrigerant. Pivotal for effective cooling as well as preventing damage in the process this regulation is paramount. It works with diverse HVAC systems through its 1/8′ sweat connection type and 3/8′ inlet size. This TXV has been designed for systems that ensures meter accuracy of refrigerants resulting in better system performance, energy savings, and a much longer operational longevity for equipment.
