The Trane CNT5001-Defrost Control Board designed to control defrosting cycles in heat pump systems to enhance the efficiency of the HVAC system. It helps to avoid the formation of frost and contributes to the improvement of energy features. It does this by checking the temperature and the time the compressor runs and only turns on the defrost mode when needed, sparing the components.
