Description
The Trane CNT4369 Defrost Control, thermostatic—and controls the cycles of evaporator coils of refrigerant-based HVAC equipment, The air that enters the unit is heated and when it gets to the evaporator coils the heat frees and removes the moisture in the form of frost on the coil. Frost’s effects lessen the coil’s ability to transfer heat based on which system efficiency is reduced if not removed or prevented. In a case where a defrost cycle is needed then the Trane Defrost Control initiates one while monitoring the coil temperature. Typically this cycle involves thawing the frost with electric heating elements or by changing the refrigerant flow.
