The Trane CNT4368 Defrost Control Board that is 9″ in length. Sustains normal performance when temperatures are low, and regulates the defrost cycle to prevent frost from accumulating on the evaporator coil which impacts the cooling ability of the circuit board. Frost forms on the coil because it cools and removes heat from your living space. The heater runs at intervals to melt the frost on the coils to ensure that airflow rates through the system are maintained perfectly. Therefore, the defrost control board enables the HVAC to run more effectively.
