Description
The Trane CNT2940 Defrost Control is a control board in heat pump systems that controls and triggers the defrost cycle during cold climates. This control unit has a size of about 4-inch length and can easily be installed in HVAC equipment. The main characteristic of this type is its operation based on the measurement of the outdoor temperature and refrigerant pressures, to be able to identify the formation of a frost layer in the outdoor coil. This is used mainly in heat pump machinery to enable it to run efficiently during cold areas and reduce the formation of ice which may affect its functioning.
