The Rheem-Ruud 62-24271-02 Direct Spark Ignitor is one of the better igniters in heating, ventilation and Air conditioning systems due to its efficiency in igniting gas. This ignitor is 1-1/4 wide and has a 30” wire length ensuring precise ignition to your appliance. The spark gap of 1/8” makes the device highly effective of the device is merely making it convenient to install and adapt to any heating systems. This direct spark ignitor works in this manner by developing sparks across the gap in an effort to burn the gas in the burner assembly. When the HVAC system demands heat an ignitor produces a spark which ignites the gas in order to commence the burning process required for heating.
