Description
The Lennox 82A63 is a high-output 5500-watt electric heating element intended for use in selected Lennox heating and cooling models. This electric element works on a principle of direct conversion of electricity to heat and not on the burning of gas to produce heat as in other systems. It is a long and resistive heating coil which is constructed from a high resistance material. This heating element is used extensively in electric furnaces and air handling equipment. When the thermostat switches on the element, it becomes red and at the same time heats the surrounding air.
