Description
The Lennox 49F59 Defrost Relay is an essential part of the defrosting sequences of a range of HVAC devices. It operates as a switch and through electrical signals regulates the defrost heater in the system. In use, the relay measures temperature or time and turns off the defrost heater to prevent ice accumulation on the evaporator coils. This eliminates restricted airflow and proper cooling, and hence proper system operation is achieved. It is used in various voltage levels, the voltage range being between 208 and 240 volts, and operates at a frequency of 60 Hz.
