The Carrier RM680002 is a 24″ Red Electrode Wire for Carrier HVAC equipment, particularly the gas furnaces. This replacement wire is usually made of copper and is insulated with heat-resistant silicone to ensure it lasts longer, it has the essentialrole of creating a spark. In use, the electrode wire discharges a high-voltage spark to the gas burner assembly. This spark brings into fire the gas, it starts the heating process of the furnace in the home.
