Description
The KMC Controls SSS-1003 Differential Pressure Flow Sensor is a compact (2 inch diameter, 1 inch thick, 0.07 lbs) sensor used in HVAC systems to measure airflow. It has a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to 80°C. Unlike temperature sensors, this sensor measures the pressure difference between two points in a duct. This pressure difference, called differential pressure, is proportional to the air velocity. By monitoring differential pressure, the SSS-1003 helps regulate airflow throughout the HVAC system, optimizing performance and efficiency. These sensors are commonly used in Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems, which adjust airflow to specific zones.
