The Carrier 48TF660002 Heat exchanger, an essential element of different types of HVAC equipment. It is used for changing thermal energy from one fluid to another – most commonly, air to refrigerant. During the heating mode, low-pressure refrigerant gas flows through the heat exchanger and releases heat to the surrounding air and then is circulated throughout the building. During cooling, the process is in the reverse warm indoor air flows across the heat exchanger and relinquishes heat to cooler refrigerant gas, for refrigerated air distribution.
