Description
The Beckett Igniter 51671U 6-Slot Head Assembly AFII is a combustion head unit that controls the mixture of air and atomized fuel oil entering the combustion chamber at ignition. The slotted head geometry shapes the airflow around the nozzle discharge point, promoting through fuel-air mixing that supports a stable, clean flame without excessive smoke or unburned residue at the chamber wall. Within HVAC systems, this head sits at the end of the burner blast tube and regulates the combustion zone geometry, directly influencing the flame shape, heat release rate, and overall firing efficiency of the oil-fired heating appliance.
