The York S1-063-90071-000 Heat-Exchanger Baffle is an internal part of York’s HVAC systems and its main role is to improve the functionality of heat exchangers. Such baffles are ordinarily of heavy material such as aluminum or stainless, with specific aims of controlling the path of Flow of refrigerant or air within the Heat exchanger. This controlled flow also ensures that the contact area between the refrigerant and the heat transfer medium air or water is better increased and therefore the heat transfer rates are enhanced. The baffles also reduce pressure drop and turbulence which enhances energy efficiency of the flow dynamics of the system. This leads to reduced operating expenses and a reduced effect on the environment.
