The Trane GKT3053 Gasket Edge Trim is an accessory part intended for a perfect fit in selected Trane heating and cooling systems. This thin gasket is 5.1” long, 0.5” high and 9.0” wide, with a thickness of only 0.063 inches, and it forms an essential seal at the edges of the marked parts. It forms a tight barrier in order to avoid the penetration of air that may occur within the HVAC unit. These leaks can mean that some of the air that has been conditioned is allowed to escape and in equal measure, fresh air that has not been conditioned is allowed into the system.
