Description
The Lennox 52M72 Flame Sensor is a small safety device which is used in the gas furnaces and the oil-fired boilers. It is a component that helps to control the safe and efficient functioning of your HVAC system The sensor is mounted along the flame’s direct line When the furnace or the boiler ignites the flame warms up the sensor rod. That temperature change generates a small amount of electrical current which informs the control board that the burner is in operation and safe to use. If for any reason the flame is extinguished the sensor rod cools and does not generate a current.
