Johnson Controls KIT21A-602 F61 Stainless Steel 4 Paddles is a replacement paddle kit for the Johnson Controls F61 or F62 series air flow switches. These flow switches are used in HVAC systems to monitor air velocity and flow rates in duct systems. The KIT21A-602 has four stainless steel paddles of different sizes; 1, 2, 3, and 6. The paddles rotate. The speed at which the paddles rotate also rises as the faster. This rotation is used by the flow switch to close an electrical switch, which is typically a Single-Pole Double-Throw, or SPDT at a specific air velocity set by the user.
