The Rheem-Ruud RCBA-2457T is a vital element in air conditioning systems that draw heat and moisture from the indoor air. The aluminum fins glued to copper pipes for better heat transfer of the coil has a multi-position airflow design that suits vertical upflow, downflow or horizontal right/left configurations. It has 24,500 BTU/hr capacity making it suitable for medium size home use. During functioning of this system, warm indoor air is drawn across evaporator coil by furnace blower; when it moves over these cool tubes made of copper, heat flows from the warm air into the refrigerant circulating inside them. This liquid-gas interchange results in an appropriate cooling effect through evaporation of refrigerant that absorbs heat.
