Description

GENERAL
You’ve just spent an hour washing your car, boat, RV, or plane — scrubbing every inch until it gleams. But as it dries in the sun, something frustrating occurs — spots, everywhere! An ugly reminder that your hard work wasn’t quite enough. Those stubborn marks aren’t dirt you missed — they’re mineral deposits, left behind when water evaporates. No matter how carefully you wash, ordinary water will always betray you in the end.

That’s exactly the problem the Serv-A-Pure WashPak Spot-Free Rinse System was built to solve. Using a powerful deionization process, it strips water of the mineral ions responsible for spotting — so when your vehicle, vessel, aircraft, or windows dry, they dry clean. No water marks. No chalky residue. Just a flawless, spot-free shine that actually does justice to the effort you put in.

And the WashPak’s versatility goes beyond a beautiful finish. It’s equally at home in industrial settings — from precision glassware rinsing to humidification systems — anywhere that truly pure water makes a difference. (Please note: the WashPak System is designed for surface and industrial applications and is not intended for human consumption.)

FEATURES & BENEFITS
– Easy in and out connectors attach to common garden hoses
– No waste stream produced
– Optional bypass attachment helps maximize capacity by allowing control over pure water usage for the final rinse only
– Purity light indicates when it’s time to replace the ion exchange resins inside the tank
–
Easily change the resins yourself
– Note: The WashPak-400 does NOT come pre-filled with resins. You will need to fill the tank with the ion exchange resins included with your order prior to use.

INSTRUCTIONS

SETUP
– Direct Connect: Attach the inlet/outlet fittings directly to the DI tank and you’re ready to go.
– With Bypass: Connect the bypass assembly to the tank first, then attach the inlet/outlet fittings to the bypass assembly.

Note: Inlet and outlet connections are interchangeable. The swivel garden hose fitting typically goes on the inlet side. Removing the brass fittings exposes standard ¾” female NPT threads.

USING THE BYPASS
– Spot-Free Mode: Turn the red handles so they point toward and away from the tank. Use this for your final rinse.
– Bypass Mode: Turn the red handles so they point toward each other. Use this for soaping and scrubbing — it preserves your resin for when it matters most.

MAINTENANCE & RESIN REPLACEMENT
Your WashPak is ready for a resin change with SAP-MB100 resins when the outlet TDS reads above 20 ppm or water spots reappear.

  1. Disconnect fittings by unscrewing the black rings counter-clockwise.
  2. Remove the head by holding the tank steady and unscrewing the head counter-clockwise, then lift straight up.
  3. Empty old resin by inverting the tank — a garden hose or wet/dry vacuum helps. Old resin is non-hazardous.
  4. Cover the center pipe with a cap or tape before refilling.
  5. Fill with fresh DI resin using a funnel. Tap the tank sides with a rubber mallet to pack the resin tightly. Store leftover resin in its bag.
  6. Reinstall the head after cleaning the sealing surfaces and O-rings. Use silicone-based lubricant (e.g., Lube-111) — avoid petroleum jelly, which degrades the seals over time.

Note:
– This WashPak will Come with Inlet and Outlet connections removed from it.

– You will need NOT to fill this tank with resin yourself when you receive it.

SPECIFICATIONS

Capacities:Every system is capacity checked to ensure you get the highest quality tanks. The capacity of a deionization (DI) tank is dependent on the quality of the water going in. Lesser water quality fed to a DI tank means it will produce fewer gallons of pure water. The better the feed water, the more gallons of pure water the DI tank will produce. The following chart shows approximate gallons a DI tank of this size will produce.
