Description
The Lennox 28W71 Defrost Ambient Sensor/Harness is an essentialpart of Lennox HVAC systems especially those that are installed in areas with cold weather. This sensor harness is made of thin 24 AWG wire with a length of 50 Inches and is used to control the defrost cycle. It constantly measures the temperature of the environment in which the outdoor unit is located and sends this information to the control board. This information is useful in starting the defrost cycle in the right time and achieves the better ice clearance from the outside coil. By maintaining a clear coil, there is free flow of air and thus high efficiency and no harm from ice formation.
